Student mobility: Norway to Sri Lanka (Asia-Explorer program)
Starting in January 2020, three students from Norway will be able to participate every year in the thematic workshop together with 20 other Sri Lankan students. These three students will be selected in an open competition among BSc or MSc students at BFE. In addition to participation in the workshop (7 ECTS, European credit units), these students will have the chance to perform research work worth 8 ECTS in the partner organizations in Sri Lanka. The workshop is held at different times in Spring. The certification will be conferred by the University of Ruhuna. In the same overseas-semester, students from Norway will have the opportunity to participate in organized coursework at the University of Kagoshima, Japan. The Spring semester in Japan starts in early April and must finish in the first week of August. Altogether, these students should achieve 30 ECTS in the course of the mobility semester (Sri Lanka + Japan). Course composition and agreements with the foreign universities are organized by BFE/UiT. Asia-explorer students are entitled to a fellowship that helps covering some of the living costs. The students organize their own travel. Details to be announced in due time. |
